3. The Age of the Flavians (69-96): the Lex de imperio Vespasiani.
4. The Empire´s consolidation under the Antonines until Marcus Aurelius (96-161).

Part II: The Crisis of the Roman Empire from Marcus Aurelius to Diocletian (161-284).

1. The prolegomena of the crisis: the last Antonines (161-192): before and after in historiography.
2. The Severi (193-235): an age of reforms.
3. Maximinus Thrax and the “Great Crisis” of 3^rd. Century (235-284).
